Lone MapleMy first Landscape was of a lone maple tree that I found in a field. I wanted to convey the the changing of the whether and the message that a tree gives when it changes color. I most important part of the subject was the leaves and the changing of color. I find a soothing serenity when I look at the turning leaves of a tree. Especially one as beautiful as a maple tree.

Oak TreeThe next landscape was of a huge oak tree in the forest by my house. I wanted to convey the sheer size and volume of the tree. By taking the picture at the base, you get a point of view that you would have if you were a child about to climb a huge tree. It gives a sense of childhood innocence, without a care or worry in the world. It brings inner peace.

Huron RiverTo take this photo I went to the Huron River, and stood on a railroad bridge. I have always enjoyed this river. I have always loved being on a boat, fishing on the river on a relaxing fall sunday. The peace and quiet received while on the river is something that everyone wishes they could enjoy everyday. Taking this picture was difficult. I wanted to make sure I didn’t have any people kayaking or canoeing while I was about to take my picture, and I had to avoid adding the railroad.
